Las Vegas based winner of Netflix’s The Mole, Will Richardson, gives audience members exclusive insight into the reality competition show. Richardson discusses his favorite missions, gives advice to future contestants and recounts the moment he realized the identity of the mole.
Contestant Richardson tells all.
Q: What has life been like since winning the show?
A: The biggest adjustment is the social media impact. You can never be ready for a situation like this. It’s a little overwhelming at times but it’s a good overwhelming.

Q: What was the casting process like? Why do you think you were a good fit for the show?
A: It’s funny you ask. The casting company that reached out to me basically told me that “We're looking at a pitch book of you. The description of what they’re looking for is you.” I’m like well let’s find out…Let’s do it.
Richardson on set of the showQ: When did you start to suspect Kesi?
A: I think around episode three to four is when the really heavy suspicion set in. Especially in the bank mission…She's extremely smart and somebody that [is] that intellectually capable is not missing those names on a three page list [during the challenge]. It’s just not possible.
The mole at his sideQ: Which mission was your favorite?
A: The snow mountain mission because it was really a mission we weren't supposed to be able to finish completely and it was clearly the hardest one…I told the production cast, give me a challenge that’s actually hard, make me work for something…The fact that we weren't supposed to finish that completely, that’s a big pride moment for me.

Q: Which mission was the most difficult?
A: I would do [one] differently. The water mission because it was such an insanely cool concept and the things that they had set up for us to do…I could’ve done that whole mission by myself while my team was only able to get one crate out of five. It was the most unbelievably disappointing moment for me throughout the show. I felt like we didn't do justice to what they had put together for us…It was like [something] out of James Bond.
Richardson ponders.Q: What advice would you give to the next cast of The Mole?
A: The most important part is really staying true to yourself because it is really easy to get lost in this atmosphere of this environment because you're in a whole separate world…The most important part is trusting your gut. Honestly, being as in shape as possible because a lot of the stuff is really hard and just an open mindset are the three most important things I took away from [as to] why I think I was able to be successful on a show like this.
