"Professional sports and a growing presence of art and culture are combining to make our world-class city a place where people want to live," says Vaknin.
A partner at KRE Capital LLC, a private Beverly Hills, CA-based equity firm, Vaknin oversees the firms’ largest investment—a $450 million portfolio of Las Vegas condominiums purchased in 2013 with Dune Real Estate Partners. Under Vaknin’s leadership, Spanish Palms sold out in less than two years, The Ogden has fewer than 40 remaining residences; Juhl is actively at market; and One Las Vegas was one of the city’s top-selling condo communities in 2018. A turn-around specialist and gifted marketer with years of industry experience as both a top broker and brilliant strategist, Vaknin now makes Las Vegas his home where he has become a respected voice for development, the arts, and Downtown. As a board member of the Downtown Vegas Alliance, the Neon Museum and a member of the Las Vegas Committee of the Nevada Museum of Art, Vaknin believes art is foundational to building community. His Artist in Residence program at Juhl that provides working/ living space to emerging artists is now in its fourth installment.
