CraftHaus Brewery has created and released UNLV’s official beer Rebel Spirit . A Golden Ale with a crisp and refreshing finish quenches thirst while a portion of the profits from each purchase go to the University of Nevada- Las Vegas. The 16 ounce cans of 5% ABV smooth ale are distributed via Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits and are available to occupy shelves at stores, restaurants and bars across the valley and are offered at Thomas & Mack Center games and events.

Rebel Spirit is more than the tasty solution for a dry throat on a hot summer day. It is the outcome of the school's impact on their students and a result of the knowledge and education poured into the UNLV alumni Wyndee Forrest, Dave Forrest and Cameron Fisher. These three make up the core team of CraftHaus and are responsible for the brewery’s success with the help of the skills and tools they acquired during their studies at the university’s Hospitality College and their staff.
CraftHaus Brewery owners Wyndee Forrest and Dave Forrest have worked hard during the seven years of operation to fine tune and perfect the brewing processes with the help of their head brewer and fellow UNLV alumnus Cameron Fisher. Many accolades and awards make their efforts worthwhile and evident.
In 2021 CraftHaus was awarded Craft Brewing News’ Top 21 Beer Marketing Ideas and Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Best of Las Vegas Bronze for Best Microbrewery. In 2018 the establishment was awarded Las Vegas Weekly’s Readers Choice Favorite Local Brewery, Yelp’s Top 100 Businesses Coast to Coast and Nevada’s Greenest Brewery. Several other awards have been earned by CraftHaus including Best Family-Owned Business in 2016 and more.

Not only has the team stayed busy blazing trails in the Nevada brewing industry through production, operations and serving, Wyndee also contributes as president for the Nevada Craft Brewers Association. She shares, “The journey has come full circle with learning the skills to prepare us to run our own business [and] now operating CraftHaus Brewery for the last seven years. It's now time for us to give back to our University." Wyndee and her team all agree, “Rebel Spirit drives us to achieve, persevere and triumph because we are Rebels for life!”
The CraftHaus Brewery is available to UNLV Hospitality College students for practical application of theoretical studies. Sensory analysis, brewing processes, operations and community integration are all areas that CraftHaus Brewery imparts on students.
Dean of UNLV's Harrah College of Hospitality Stowe Shoemaker says, "This partnership with CraftHaus Brewery underscores the college’s focus on practical learning and our growing emphasis on beverage operations.” He continues, "The fact that our CraftHaus partners—as UNLV alums—are investing in the next generation of industry leaders really shows our students what the Rebel Spirit is all about."
