BANKSY: GENIUS OR VANDAL? will be at Immersion Vegas at Fashion Show Mall until April 5.
Since the ’80s, the notorious street artist Banksy has filled streets and canvases alike to create works that signify social themes in often ironic and witty ways. Since his youth in Bristol, England, the mysterious artist has evaded authorities and has never been photographed. One of his most notable works includes “Girl With Balloon,” which was later renamed “Love Is in the Bin” after the art shredded itself in October 2018 moments after selling for $1.4 million at a Sotheby’s auction. After successful stints in Europe, an unofficial showing of over 70 works including the 700-pound “Stop Esso,” 3D objects, photographs, a specially created multimedia presentation and more has landed in Vegas for a limited time. Ava Bahnam, general manager of the 12,000-square-foot exhibition, says, “Banksy’s talent is multidimensional, much like the city of Las Vegas.” BANKSY: GENIUS OR VANDAL? will remain here until April 5, which leaves you plenty of time to contemplate the question for yourself. Tickets $29, Immersion Vegas at Fashion Show Mall, banksy.vegas
