Alex Hult grew up in Borlange, Sweden. At the age of fifteen, he was picked up by one of the best teams in Sweden called HV71. In 2003, his dream came true and he was drafted by the San Jose Sharks. Around that time, he was picked by the Swedish men’s national under 20 ice hockey team, Juniorkronorna, to represent Sweden. During the tournament, he suffered a knee injury ending his professional hockey career.
A few years later, he met his wife, Miss Nevada USA, Sarah Chapman, now Hult. The Hults then moved to Silicon Valley, where his culinary career began. He opened Hult’s Restaurant in 2013, a farm-to-table place with amazing food. In 2017, they opened their first Flights Restaurant in Campbell, CA, and it became a huge success. In less than 2 years, he now has five restaurants with a possibility of franchising in the near future.
