Summer is officially upon us in Las Vegas, and Drai’s blew the opening siren with help from Maybach Music maestro Rick Ross.
The Miami-based rap icon got the full red carpet treatment, and he served it right back to the audience with a show-stopping, full-length performance Sunday, June 27. It was the first of many, as the Teflon Don recently announced a major multi-year residency with Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub, part of The Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

The pair are a perfect fit. Ross is a man known for his luxurious, “rich forever” lifestyle, and Sin City made its reputation on being larger than life. Everything about the big residency kick-off was over-the-top, with plenty of “Drai’s Dolls” dancers, flowing champagne, explosive firecrackers and a celebratory banner that read “Welcome Home Rick Ross.”
After making the rounds and posing for a flew pics, the five-time Grammy-nominated artist stormed the stage at 2:30 a.m. He ripped through a monster set, leading the crowd in sing-alongs of “All I Do is Win,” “Aston Martin Music,” “Hustlin’,” “I’m on One” and more.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of catching Ross do what he does best, you know he brings a presence and power worthy of the Vegas stage. He fits right into the 25,000-square-foot, multi-level Drai’s Nightclub space, making the most of the LED lighting systems and 80-sided LED disco ball.
Ross isn’t the only top-tier rap talent to join Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub entertainment lineup. Guests can look forward to a packed calendar of events, featuring performances from Migos, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne and others.
The rapper isn’t sticking to just one job this summer, either. Ross recently hinted at a collaborative album with Drake, who recently won Billboard’s award for Artist of the Decade. He’s also the face of Wingstop’s “thighstop” summer campaign, being an owner of nine Wingstop franchises, himself.
