With a new show on the rise and a growing list of accolades, Rachel Smith is the Las Vegas ambassador to the stars.

Last summer, when multi-Grammy-winning singer Usher kicked off a new residency on the Strip, he was looking for some recommendations on where to take the family during their extended stay in Las Vegas. Did he call a publicist? No. The Caesars Palace headliner dialed Smith, the veteran Las Vegas entertainment reporter with whom he’d recently sat for an interview.

That Smith is the go-to guide for Vegas-bound celebrities is a testament to her 20 years of relationship-building with stars and their handlers. Smith’s tenure has not only won her accolades—she’s a three-time Emmy winner, Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame inductee and a voting member of the Critics Choice Association—but granted her the role of unofficial Las Vegas ambassador.

Watch any of her “Celebrity Page” segments or the one-on-ones on her just-launched BEONDTV show Lights, Camera, Vegas! and you’ll see the biggest names in entertainment asking her for advice on what to do in Las Vegas. “It’s fun to be a champion and cheerleader for our city,” she says. “It just comes naturally.” beond.tv/videos/lights-camera-vegas
