THE PARTY It was a star-studded night as Resorts World Las Vegas, the first ground-up hotel to open on the Strip in over a decade, celebrated its official grand opening. Genting Chairman and CEO K.T. Lim, Resorts World Las Vegas President Scott Sibella, Hilton President and CEO Chris Nassetta, U.S. Congresswoman Dina Titus, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair Marilyn Kirkpatrick and Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom kicked off the fun-filled evening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring a ceremonial dragon dance, a lion blessing and taiko drummers. THE PEOPLE Paris Hilton, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Usher and Steve Aoki all showed up to toast the resort’s debut. Hilton revved up the crowd with a DJ set; Kendall Jenner hosted an exclusive poolside gathering where guests sipped her new 818 Tequila; and Aoki, along with his brother Kevin Aoki, debuted their restaurant, Kuru Kuru Pa Yakitori. THE PINNACLE As the resort geared up to welcome the public, Katy Perry—who will kick off her residency at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas in December—virtually led guests in a final fireworks-filled countdown before resident DJ Tiësto performed a beat-thumping set for the sizzling crowd. Talk about a party!
