THE BIG REVEAL Out with Parasol Up and in with Overlook Lounge, Spirits and Aperitifs, the newest cocktail destination at Wynn Las Vegas. Designed by Todd-Avery Lenahan, president and chief creative officer of Wynn Design & Development, the jewel box shines with enchanting crystal chandeliers, vintage European design aesthetics and a rich palette of hues ranging from blue to red to green. Leading the beverage menu is resort mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini. “When creating a cocktail menu, I like to draw influences from the design and atmosphere of the space so that together they tell a cohesive story,” explains Mercer Boarini. “With Overlook Lounge, I wanted to celebrate the glamour of the space as well as the romance of aperitifs, so every drink features a name borrowed from the most iconic figures in fashion, film, history and mythology.” Sip spritzers like the Naomi, Evangelista and the Hudson or indulge in libations named for the world’s top fashion destinations—think Milan and Paris—that are topped with a mist from edible aperitif parfums.
