EMILIO’S CONTEMPORARY MEXICAN KITCHEN
Refined Restaurant Group co-founder Alexandra Lourdes is honoring her father’s Mexico City roots at Emilio’s Contemporary Mexican Kitchen. Now open on West Maule Avenue, the new hot spot celebrates modern Latin flavors across breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner. Start the day with the El Burro burrito filled with scrambled eggs, chorizo, crispy potatoes, refried beans and queso chipotle cream in a flour tortilla. Later, try Emilio’s Famous Street Corn Dip with housemade tortilla chips or the Aztec grain bowl bursting with fresh flavors and colors. Finally, satiate your thirst with the tequila-spiked La Mera Mera or the spicy Señor Pepper—tequila flights are also on offer for guests looking to take their experience to great new heights. Cheers!
The flavor fiesta continues at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, where Lucia Mexican Grill serves queso birria tacos, fire-grilled arrachera and handcrafted margaritas during dinner and weekend brunch. Stop by on Taco Tuesday for $5 tacos, daily happy hour between 5 and 6 p.m. for half-off margaritas and $5 beers, or on Saturday and Sunday for Fiesta Brunch. Live music from myriad artists will set the scene as you indulge in huevos rancheros, chilaquiles and chile relleno sope Benedict.
Rare Society’s signature steak boards are the perfect way to explore its carnivorous cuts. PHOTO BY MATT FURMAN
Chef Brad Wise’s Trust Restaurant Group is entering Nevada for the first time, opening its acclaimed steakhouse Rare Society at UnCommons this spring. With four locations in California and one in Washington, Rare Society celebrates Santa Maria-style grilling, providing modern iterations of classic steakhouse dishes. Order a signature steak board to experience myriad chef-selected cuts of meats paired with housemade sauces, roasted bone marrow and charred cipollini onions. Wood-grilled lamp lollipops, bacon with gochujang glaze, and the lemon and pickled mustard seed chimichurri pork tomahawk equally entice. Expect a retro-glam environment with 160 seats, ranging from a marble bar to plush leather banquettes, thanks to the vision of Studio Rallou. Come hungry!

Refined Restaurant Group continues its expansion with Sorellina Cucina Italiana, a love letter to co-founder Stephen Jerome’s Italian heritage. “Sorellina is an ode to family,” says Jerome. “Our standing principles throughout all of our restaurants remain the same: rooted in family, a sincere dedication to our community, with an unwavering promise of serving the most delicious food to our guests. I’m overjoyed to showcase our beloved family recipes through Sorellina.” With design by Jerome’s wife and co-founder, Lin Jerome, the space sparkles with family photos, indoor-outdoor seating and a delicious menu by chef Michael Thomas. Try the veal Milanese—a bone-in veal rib chop served with an arugula and fennel salad and blistered cherry tomatoes—or enjoy a taste from the gluten-free menu of bread and pasta options. Cocktails, like the Dirty Bambino and The Sorellina, round out the well-appointed menu.
