Slowly yet surely, summer is coming to a close. Labor Day Weekend is just around the corner, a three-day cap on the sunshine, parties and fun times enjoyed in the warmer months. Many will flock to the Strip to enjoy a few more moments of summer, and Vegas casinos and clubs are preparing for this last hurrah with special performances, offers and surprises.
Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub, resting atop the Cromwell Casino, is no exception. One of the premier party-going destinations on the Strip, Drai’s is going all out for the final weekend of summer, inviting guests to performances by famed rappers Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne, as well as dance parties soundtracked by Blueprint Sound and a few surprise performances along the way. Puerto Rican star Jay Wheeler has been announced, and other guests are to be revealed later.

Self-described as “The Best Club in Las Vegas,” Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub is a top vacation destination for those seeking a good time. The “Beach” is comprised of 30,000 square feet of outdoor space, filled with multiple swimming pools, palm trees, cabanas and fully-serviced bars for daytime relaxation. The nightclub is a pinnacle for dancing enthusiasts, boasting expansive dance floors, several LED systems and an 80-sided disco ball. Both sit atop the Cromwell, a subdivision of the Caesar’s brand known more for its boutique resort feel than its gambling, although it features plenty of both.
The party will kick off Thursday night, Sept. 2, when MMA Fighter-turned-DJ Patrick Cornett kicks things off at “Swim Night." The nightclub and beach club will become one sprawling party that continues into Friday, capped with a platinum hit-filled performance by Gucci Mane inside the nightclub.
Guccie Mane will perform again for the beach club Saturday afternoon, and Grammy-winning artist Lil Wayne will follow him that same night.
Following the two on Sunday will be a set promoted by Pollen, an event-planning group that advertises “exclusive, over-the-top party experiences.” The Latin-music event is headlined by Puerto Rican artist Jay Wheeler who’s songs regularly appear on Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, with additional performances from Alex Sensation, Sita Abellán and La Gabi. The group will turn the beach club into a tropical paradise on Sunday, and hope to continue the party into the night club that night, where a surprise guest has yet to be revealed.
The weekend ends with a cooldown Monday afternoon, with the beats of Blueprint Sound ringing through the beach club as people head home to face the fall season.
Of course, Drai’s won’t be the only one with headliners that weekend. Plenty of events will be ringing through the strip. On Saturday night alone, Vegas will be filled with some of the best DJs in the world, including Marshmello at XS Nightclub, Martin Garrix at OMNIA, and Lil Jon at Hakkasan.
Vegas will continue to buzz outside of the clubs as well. The opening of the college football season is sure to attract goers at the sportsbooks and pool parties, and plenty of folks will likely come in to see the ever-constant residencies, including Santana and Donny Osmond.
