Life is Beautiful descends on downtown Las Vegas from Sept. 17 to 19 for a music, art, comedy and culinary connective experience. It’s practically here, but yes, there are still tickets available to get in on an epic lineup that includes A$AP Rocky, Haim, Megan Thee Stallion, Ludacris and more. Whether your considering to upgrade to a VIP pass or you’re getting ready to head out the door, read on to learn more about the festival.
This year’s headlining acts are three seemingly different artists who actually all fall along the alternative music spectrum. Each night, attendees have the chance to relish in the dark pop of Billie Eilish; the rock opera of pop-punk founding fathers Green Day and the indie pop psychedelia of Tame Impala.
Take a break from dancing for a dose of laughter. Life is Beautiful also brings to Vegas a stellar lineup of comedians from across the worlds of stand-up, television and podcasting. At The Kicker stage in Venue Vegas, attendees get the chance to see Sarah Cooper, Ziwe, Sam Jay, Nico Santos and Bob the Drag Queen with Monét X Change for the hit Sibling Rivalry podcast. I know I’d run over to catch Annie Lederman, who used to make me literally laugh out loud on Girl Code, and Rachel Sennott, who recently starred in the fantastically awkward Shiva Baby.
Anyone that has attended a festival— especially one in the desert— knows how essential a meal is to your experience. Not only does the food at Life is Beautiful refuel you, but it’s quite the culinary experience. The Culinary Vendor Village includes over 70 chiefs and restaurants that encompass a variety of delectable cuisines to suit any lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to grub down on mouthwatering BBQ or munch on some vegan bites, you’ll be sure to walk away satisfied.
If you’re looking for a solid background for an Instagram photo or just want to appreciate some lovely visuals, you’ll have to check out Life is Beautiful’s art program. Featuring prominent local, national and even global contemporary artists, the festival ultimately transforms downtown Las Vegas into an open-air art museum. Among the installations is a 360-degree takeover by Camille Walala, the Bacardi Art Motel and a large-scale work on the Las Vegas Motel facade by Nicolas Barrome.
The festival may lean into its music, art and culinary selection, but it's made sure to also bring some mindfulness to the three-day event. Knowing the importance of mental health, Life is Beautiful is featuring Deepak Chopra and Gabriella Wright for a series of transcendent and cathartic gatherings, including a guided mass meditation and a conversation about the roots of human stress and suffering.
Life is Beautiful sees the safety of its music-loving peers as its single most important duty. With that in mind, the festival requires attendees to either provide proof of full vaccination (meaning you need to have gotten your final dose by Sept. 3) or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event. Same thing goes for minors under the age of 16, who also must be accompanied by an adult.
