A Las Vegas transplant by way of England, Eve Dawes has made her mark on Sin City through Dawes Custom Cosmetics, a locally based, cruelty-free, luxury custom lipstick brand. “What we didn’t need was another lipstick on the market, but what we did need was to fill the void in the luxury cosmetic market for cruelty-free makeup that puts the client first and is based around their needs, ensuring they walk away with their perfect color,” says Dawes, who was crowned Mrs. Nevada United States in 2017. The best way to describe my approach to fashion is... feminine, classic, glamorous and fashion-forward. From the age of 3, I was dancing, and as a ballerina, I was always wearing structured styles and tutus that were beautifully embellished, tiaras and girly styles. I also grew up in England, surrounded by European style. Both of these influences have definitely had an impact on my style.
If I could swap wardrobes with anyone, it would be... Jennifer Lopez. The first outfit I fell in love with of hers was back in 2000, when she wore that plunging Versace dress to the Grammys. I’ve been a fan of her style ever since. She’s always flawless and wears the most flattering styles. Her looks are sexy but still elegant and glamorous. No one rocks a sleek high ponytail or fedora or brings the drama quite like Jennifer, plus she has a wardrobe full of Versace.
A piece I wear that empowers me is... my wedding ring. It reminds me that I have someone by my side at all times to share life’s highs and lows with and who is my biggest cheerleader.
My ultimate fashion splurge is... an Hermès Kelly bag. It’s at the top of my wish list as it’s such an elegant, simple, everyday bag that elevates any look.
Fashion is an important part of my life because... of how it makes me feel. We’re able to express and show who we are on the inside to the rest of the world by how we present ourselves. I love being able to put on something and completely change my look and mood. One day I can feel soft and feminine in an ethereal style, the next sophisticated-glam in a fitted dress for an event, or powerful and confident in a structured outfit, and on vacation it’s flowing dresses and golden glowing looks. For Noelle Haddad-McCann, president and CEO of TNG Models, Las Vegas’ leading modeling agency, fashion is both business and pleasure. As a teenager, she was exposed to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas thanks to her father and his music management company located on the Strip. “I was his personal assistant,” shares Haddad-McCann. “He worked with some of the biggest artists of his time, including Marvin Gaye, Wayne Newton, Michael Jackson and many more. During those years, I learned about talent management and show business.” From there, she moved to Chicago in the early 2000s, where she pursued her own modeling career with Ford Models, before heading back to Las Vegas to launch TNG in 2012. The best way to describe my approach to fashion is... Keep it classic! I don’t get too caught up in trends. I like to wear timeless pieces with a tailored fit. A little black dress; dark denim jeans; a white collared shirt; a chic Chelsea boot, loafer or pump are my go-tos!
I feel fabulous when I wear... a great pair of high heels, and a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress.
A piece I wear that empowers me is... a gold camel necklace that was my grandmother’s. I was gifted the necklace when I turned 16, and I have worn it to every major meeting and event in my life, including my wedding day.
The most cherished piece in my closet has to be... my red Hermès Birkin bag, gifted to me by my big sister Natalie.
My secret weapon when it comes to fashion is... wearing all black with gold accessories, which can look very chic and bring a sense of togetherness and certainty to a look. I also love to wear red; it is a powerful and sexy color. Red is my absolute favorite, which is why the TNG logo is red.
The ultimate trendsetter of today is... Iliki Price! She is my go-to stylist in town. She is always on trend but she gets my classic style.
Fashion is an important part of my life because... it is a form of art and self-expression that I find exciting and fascinating! I admire anyone with a great sense of style. It is an integral part of my modeling agency. I appreciate the hard work, beauty and creativity that each designer puts into their collection, and I enjoy scouting new faces to walk the runways for them at their shows.
