What does one do after dominating the title of international pop star? Well, become an international wine sensation of course.
On her birthday in 2020, Kylie Minogue expanded her talents with the launch of Kylie Minogue Wines exclusively with London-based distributor Benchmark Drinks. Since then, the wine brand has sold over 5 million bottles and has become the most successful U.K. wine launch ever.
Two years into her business venture, Minogue has decided to treat the U.S. and bring her wine stateside.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be launching Kylie Minogue Rosés in America,” Minogue said. “It has been a dream of mine to introduce Kylie Minogue Wines to the United States so this is a very special moment for me. I can’t wait for Americans to be able to enjoy, and fall in love with these beautiful rosé wines.”
Minogue celebrated the launch on June 6 with an intimate surprise performance at the legendary Café Carlyle in New York City. The jazz-infused set featured stripped-down renditions of her biggest hits and new favorites, including “Spinning Around," “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “Love at First Sight,” and, from her last album Disco, “Say Something.”
“What a night!! A true ‘pinch me moment’, performing at the iconic Cafe Carlyle in New York City,” wrote about the celebration on Instagram.
The special evening welcomed a variety of tastemakers who enjoyed a preview of Minogue’s upcoming prosecco and rosé. Guests included Lucy Liu, Christian Siriano, Derek Blasberg, Coco Rocha and Proenza Schouler, among others.
Kylie Minogue Wine boasts a portfolio of 9 wines, including the U.K.’s best-selling rosé and rosé prosecco collections, and is distributed in 11 countries. What’s more, the prosecco rosé is the No. 1 prosecco rosé seller in the U.S, and the brand overall earned the prestigious Golden Vine Award for Wine Entrepreneurialism in 2021.
The triumph of Kylie Minogue Wines mirrors that of its namesake. As one of the most successful female artists of all time, Minogue has sold over 80 million records, earned 34 Top 10 hits and seven No. 1s and is the only female artist to ever have a No. 1 album in each of the last five decades.
