Get out your stars and stripes for this year’s Independence Day! Not sure how to wear your red, white and blue? No worries, we scoured the web for some fun and easy-to-follow tutorials that actually look pretty darn clean. That's how we found YouTuber Nails by Jema and her clip that showcases six different ways to patriotically paint your nails.

Whether you’re a beginner or a total expert, Jema shares designs suitable for a range of skills. Her secret to having the best final product is to make sure you focus on one nail design at a time and try not to overcrowd each nail with too many details.

Each design is based on the holiday's three main colors of red, white and blue with some added sparkles here and there. Jema creates clean, fun and decorated designs to spruce up your July 4th look. Some are just paint-based and incredibly easy. Other include some nail gems, vinyl stars or metallic nail tape.

When applying the polish, Jema suggests adding top coats to ensure maximum protection of the colors and gemstones. She also says to paint the top coat in the direction of the nail polish to prevent any bubbles or streaks.
