An online concert with Jewel raised more than $550K for Inspiring Children Foundation despite coronavirus challenges.
A sudden change of plans for The Inspiring Children Foundation ignited a heart-warming event with the Live from San Quarantine online concert with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jewel.
In the face of coronavirus challenges, Jewel’s “Live from San Quarantine” online concert aimed to benefit families in need through the Inspiring Children Foundation. Due to the circumstances, her non-profit fundraiser had to be cancelled, but nothing was going to stop her from performing. The foundation’s cofounder and volunteer Ryan Wolfington says Jewel has “never reached out to her network on this scale before and she’s doing it because her foundation youth and the millions online need our help more than ever...especially with mental health.” The online event held on March 21st swept the nation. It raised over $550,000 and had over 150 million social media shares including reposts from over 60 celebrities. All donations will provide families with housing, food, and physical, emotional and mental support. To donate go to inspiringchildren.net
