Its signature brown and white stripe has been familiar to New Yorkers since 1895, but lately Henri Bendel’s famed look is getting as much play on the Strip as it does on Fifth Avenue. The retailer recently introduced its iconic brand to Las Vegas with a long-awaited store inside Fashion Show mall modeled after its Manhattan flagship, while this month trendsetters clamoring for all things Bendel will also enjoy a second location at The Forum Shops at Caesars, set to open November 15.
Both will cater to a “trendy, cheeky” clientele, says Chris Fiore, president of Henri Bendel. “If she’s a jewelry customer in Fashion Show and a handbag customer in The Forum Shops, I will adjust the assortment,” he says. “But it’s glitzy, girly, blingy, and glittery, and the price points are very accessible.”
The stores’ custom-made chandeliers set a luminous tone for the array of must-haves, which include handbags, jewelry, leather goods, bridal accessories, beauty products, travel essentials, gifts, and more than 40 home scents. “Vegas is kind of its own little category, because [the customer] is so transient,” Fiore says. “It is the only city in America besides New York that can really boast that whole mix of a customer.” Fashion Show, 702-836-9829; The Forum Shops at Caesars, 702-836- 9205
