While Las Vegas is still synonymous with rich and indulgent meals, healthy eating is also a growing trend. Case in point, My Healthy Meal, the latest in a string of healthy cafes with an emphasis on low-calorie and specialty diet foods. The concept is grab and go, with organic, preservative-free, pre-packaged entrees and healthy pastries available whenever hunger strikes.
Offered for gluten-free, vegetarian, raw, and low-carb lifestyles, each individually packaged meal displays a calorie count and ingredients list so you can choose a meal that fits exactly with your diet plan. Individual nutrition counseling is available in-store for those in need of advice on which portion-controlled meals are right for them.
Quinoa plays a major role in a lot of the dishes at My Healthy Meal, including the spaghetti, chicken Parmesan with quinoa noodles, and salmon with quinoa and bok choy. But the tandoori chicken and turkey tacos are also top picks. Meanwhile, on the sweeter side, peanut butter protein balls are so delicious that they often sell-out by mid-afternoon, while banana bread muffins are packed with protein and brownies are made with black beans.
Owned by local entrepreneur Candace Bailey, My Healthy Meal has two new pick-up only locations set to open in the next few months. And we hear Bailey’s looking at locations for a Henderson outpost. 10220 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 2, 702-605-6757
