Being a Formula 1 driver is no longer just a fantasy.
Making your racecar drive dreams a reality, the Las Vegas Grand Prix Plaza will become home to North America’s only Formula 1 go-karting experience, F1 Drive, on May 2.
The 1,696-foot track runs through portions of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit, making this the first go-kart attraction to be included in a Formula 1 racetrack. Guests can race down the route at speeds of up to 30 mph, all with the perks of features like a drag reduction system and energy recovery system. The track, karts and even helmets are based on realistic Formula 1 experiences, primarily based on the 2023 season.
“Guests will not only experience racing on part of the Las Vegas Strip Circuit but also gain a unique perspective inside the official team garages,” said CEO and president of Las Vegas Grand Prix Inc. Emily Prazer. “Opening just in time for summer, this will be a dynamic way for locals and visitors of different ages and skill levels to get behind the wheel and see Grand Prix Plaza through the eyes of an F1 driver.”
Ticket packages are available for purchase with varying tiers for different types of groups. The family-friendly Mixed Grid package comes with two 15-minute low-speed sessions for $79. The Elite Experience package also includes two 15-minute sessions, but at higher speeds for $99. At $37 for general admission and $30 for locals, the Fastest Lap package allows guests to try timed racing with instant time reports.
Beyond these packages, F1 Drive will also offer add-on experiences for $150. These add-ons include perks like F1 simulation rides, photo opportunities and $20 off any purchase of $75 or more at the gift shop.
Besides the new F1 Drive, Grand Prix Plaza also offers other experiences like the F1 simulation rides and the Formula One immersive attraction, F1 X.
After the grand opening on May 2, Grand Prix Plaza will be open from Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. By late summer, the attraction will be closed in preparation for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. There are plans to reopen with the date to be announced.
The 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to take place Nov. 20 through 22 at the Las Vegas Street Circuit.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix Plaza is located at 4400 Koval Ln 89109.
