A reborn Ellie Goulding lights up the night at the Mandalay Bay.
When British singer Ellie Goulding, 29, takes the stage for a one-night appearance at the Mandalay Bay Events Center this April, audiences will be introduced to a very different performer than the Ellie Goulding who broke out onto the scene with her EDM-tinged hit single “Lights.” Five years later and fresh off the release of her latest album, Delirium, Goulding’s musical evolution has her embracing mainstream pop like never before, particularly in tracks like the album’s undeniably catchy lead single, “On My Mind.” The song’s music video, which sees Goulding and a friend overtake the city on horseback in a Western-inspired Thelma & Louise scenario, was filmed at various locations around the city, including Fremont Street and the retro-cool El Cortez Hotel & Casino—as if we needed any more proof that when it comes to reinvention, there’s no better place to dabble in a new identity than Vegas.
