After years of searching for a healthy, flavorful energy product, Elena Ledoux decided to create her own.
Designed with busy moms in mind, MommyGo is the world’s first energy shot based on matcha, giving you a must-needed boost of energy without the bad taste or dreaded “crash” other products on the market provide. “It was a need,” explains Elena. “I used to work as an attorney back in Hawaii, which was mentally taxing, so by the time I got home and it was time to play with my kids, I had no mental energy to do anything. I started looking for something that would help extend my day, so to speak, and the only thing that was out there was coffee, which is harsh and acidic, or Red Bull and 5 Hour Energy, and that’s pretty much it. There was nothing else, especially for moms. So I just thought I would make it—and I did.”
Knowing that “women buy with their eyes,” Elena set out to create a product that not only worked and tasted delicious, but was aesthetically pleasing for consumers—speaking to both mothers and women in general. Relying on Japanese matcha tea, MommyGo comes in three different flavors—lavender coconut, lemon honey-ginger, and rose almond—that are packed with antioxidants and are 100-percent natural.
Being a mother herself, Elena knew that she wanted to use MommyGo to help give back to causes that she felt passionate about and soon teamed up with the Vegas-based HealthySunrise Foundation—a non-profit organization with a core mission to improve birth outcomes through enhanced maternal-child health programs—to donate a percentage of every sale to fighting HIV in children. “I’ve never met real life superheroes until I met that organization,” says Elena, “the stuff they do is just mind-blowing and they do it with such a low budget—they are incredible.”
Once Elena has had her daily dose of MommyGo, she is ready to take on Vegas with her two children, specifically at the Springs Reserve, which has museums, a desert garden, and bike trails, which they love to venture through on a quiet day. There is also an on-site eatery called the Divine Café that boasts incredible views of the area, however, for a sweet treat, Elena is fan of Gelata di Milano, which she accidentally discovered when she overheard the owners speaking Italian.
