Board-certified and fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon—and industry badass—Dr. Jeannie Khavkin brings out the beauty in every patient.
When I met Dr. Jeannie Khavkin, she had just arrived back from a morning spent in the operating room performing an eye lift and chin liposuction. We discussed her services such as skin tightening with Ultherapy, facial sculpting with injectables, injectable rhinoplasty and various treatments to improve skin quality. Dr. Khavkin’s humble confidence and articulated, honed skill put me right at ease. I immediately responded to her delicate touch and ease of discussion and treatment. “While surgery still has an important role in my practice, more and more people are choosing to go with less invasive facial treatments. I do powerful work with dermal fillers and neuromodulators to enhance and rejuvenate the face,” says Dr. Khavkin. Her expertise comes from countless hours of medical training: four years of medical school, five years of residency in ENT/head and neck surgery, a year of advanced fellowship training in facial plastic surgery combined with close to 10 years of clinical practice. Needless to say, she is a facial expert.
Refreshingly, Dr. Khavkin performs her own consultations and all the injectable treatments herself, even more of a rarity in a current world where injectables are often performed by nonphysician providers with varying levels of training and experience. With a passion for combining advanced medical knowledge, technical skills and meticulous attention to detail, she uses her artistic eye to create natural-looking results. “The future of plastic surgery is heading in the direction of nonsurgical and minimally invasive procedures. People are starting treatments at a younger age for prevention and undergo maintenance treatments to stay ahead of the aging process,” says Dr. Khavkin. “A perfect example is the rise of injectable rhinoplasty where patients are seeking out a way to improve their nose without going under the knife. This is one of my favorite injectable procedures to perform since I can use my training as a rhinoplasty surgeon to create instant change with a needle. I’ve had people cry in my chair when they saw their nose transform.” Her favorite part of the job? “One of the most gratifying aspects of what I do is giving people their confidence back.” Nuance Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery, 3605 S.
