Formula 1 isn’t just a sport for Aston Martin—it’s an integral part of its identity. Under the leadership of billionaire chairman Lawrence Stroll, Aston Martin is positioning itself as a future World Championship contender, bringing unparalleled exposure to the British 111-year young marque and driving consideration for its burgeoning portfolio of class-leading sports cars. Beyond global visibility, F1 is the ultimate testing ground for an automotive manufacturer—the world’s fastest laboratory where the relentless pursuit of speed, reliability and performance drives innovation. It’s a technological arms race, with the spoils of victory shaping the future of performance cars.

To harness the minds, methods and materials of F1, the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team has created a special division: Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT), linking F1 DNA throughout the brand’s road and race programs. “The advantage of having direct access to the unique skills and insights of a Formula 1 team cannot be overstated,” notes AMPT engineering director Claudio Santoni. “F1 engineers are constantly redefining the limits of performance, utilizing advanced problem-solving tools. With this expertise at our disposal, we can seamlessly integrate F1 technology into our road car development.”
F1 fuels innovation and enhances the brand’s image as a performance powerhouse, as embodied in a range of cars, from the ultimate hypercar, Valkyrie, to the awe-inspiring Valhalla. “Aston Martin was born out of racing, so 111 years on, it is fitting that this iconic brand sits at the pinnacle of motorsport, supercharging our ultra-luxury and high-performance credentials,” says Aston Martin’s global chief brand and commercial officer, Marco Mattiacci.

The Valkyrie is the most iconic of Aston Martin’s new era of thrilling performance models. From the brilliant mind of the most successful F1 designer of all time and incoming Aston Martin F1 managing technical partner and shareholder, Adrian Newey, Valkyrie is an F1 car for the road. Fewer than 250 have been made, one of which is owned by Aston Martin F1 racer Fernando Alonso. It is a master class in Formula 1 technology being adapted for the road, representing a no-compromise philosophy that mirrors the radical design and engineering seen in F1.
Valhalla, the brand’s first series-produced mid-engine hybrid supercar, echoes this theme. Commencing its first deliveries in 2025, Valhalla represents a quantum leap in performance and design, thanks to its deep roots in F1 technology. From its carbonfiber monocoque to the use of simulation tools to test its F1-style aerodynamics to track testing using the elite skills of the team’s drivers to create cockpit ergonomics and an F1 seating position, Valhalla is born from the pinnacle of motorsport.
But it’s not just the sport that has inspired Aston Martin—Alonso himself was the muse for the Aston Martin Valiant. Launched in July, the Aston Martin Valiant stems from a personal commission to Aston’s “Q” bespoke service by Alonso, embodying everything a two-time world champion craves in a car. Powered by a 745PS twinturbo 5.2-liter V-12, paired with a six-speed manual transmission, this track-focused yet street-legal machine epitomizes Aston Martin’s commitment to building cars for true enthusiasts—those who demand nothing less than an F1-level thrill.

Beyond its special programs, Aston Martin is also showcasing the performance and engineering credentials of its core products as an official FIA Safety and Medical Car Supplier to Formula 1. Propelled by its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, the Vantage Safety Car literally becomes the leader of the pack when called upon, and the astonishingly fast DBX707 performance SUV supports any on-track incident to a massive global audience.
The brand’s visibility in Formula 1 is also amplifying its revenue. Three years after Aston Martin’s return to Formula 1, the company credits the sport with heightening its sales to new audiences, with 60% of car buyers new to the brand. Ahead of the 2024 season, Aston Martin revealed that nearly a quarter of customers are selecting one of the marque’s nine exclusive shades of green for their dream car—with the official Aston Martin Racing Green color now the No. 1 choice.
As F1 approaches a new set of regulations in 2026, Aston Martin hopes on-track success will put the brand’s famous Racing Green even more firmly at the forefront of customers’ minds. Watch Alonso, Stroll and Aston Martin compete in the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix from Nov. 21 to 23 to see its signature color speeding down the Strip this fall.
