Disrupting the holy trinity of turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce is a risky move that should never be attempted in the presence of hungry guests and electric carving knives. That said, ubiquitous turkey day dishes like yams, Brussels sprouts and stuffing don't have to be made from boring, back of the box recipes.
