While the concept of the concierge is hardly new to Las Vegas, an all-inclusive one that delivers boutique accommodations, impossible-toget table reservations and VIP club access—regardless if you’re A-list or no list—certainly is. The man securing all of it for you: Trent Walford.

Walford had run the Hollywood entertainment gamut, working as an agent before starting a management company and producing films, until a chance meeting with investor Derek Cherne planted the seeds of the 33 Group, a fully integrated lifestyle management service that uniquely ties together rooms, transportation, dining and entertainment. “I’d been coming out here for a long time, but it was strictly leisure,” says Walford, who’s now based in Las Vegas. But when he and Cherne purchased the 33rd floor of the Palms Place Hotel & Spa in April 2009, 33 Group was set in motion.

Walford, along with partner Steve Kennedy, will have you on track from the moment you touch down at McCarran. All guests are provided with a custom itinerary that details every activity, confirms pickups and drop-offs, and doesn’t come with any extra padding. “If they have a set budget we create a package that fits that budget,” says Walford. “When they get off the plane, they know what they’re paying for, no surprises, and everything is top of the line.”

Walford personally hands guests their room keys for one of the group’s studio, one-bedroom or penthouse suites, and then remains just a phone call away for the rest of their stay. “Even the average guy can feel like a celebrity out here,” he says. “Too often, people don’t know how to get it.” Now they do.

JUST THE FACTS
How do you keep people on budget? “A lot of times, in the heat of the moment, they’ll say, ‘Let’s get four more bottles!’ and I’ll remind them, ‘Hey, this is what we budgeted for, let’s be careful here.’ Just being the voice of reason, which is why our customers respect us.”

But my cousin said he’d hook me up… “Everybody says they’ve got a guy out here, but at the end of the day, it’s just a bunch of hustlers. We pride ourselves on getting the customer exactly what they asked for.”

When you come down from the 33rd floor of Palms Place, where do you go? “Off-property we go to Vanity and Tao.”
