Country music residencies on the Las Vegas Strip have exploded in recent years, spearheaded by Garth Brooks playing at Encore and Shania Twain’s two-year performance deal at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Now, country music’s Barbie and Ken, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, have secured their own limited engagement, playing at the Venetian Theater. With just 1,815 seats, the intimate venue affords diehard fans and country music flirts alike the chance to see the two hit-makers up close and personal. Titled Soul2Soul, the show began December 7 and will play a total of 40 shows (10 weekends with four shows each) through its final date of April 27.
Expect plenty of hits in the 90-minute concert, as McGraw and Hill have almost too many number one singles to count between the two of them. She’s got "This Kiss," "The Way You Love Me," "Breathe," and her newest, “American Heart,” to wow the crowd while he belts out “One of Those Nights,” "Live Like You Were Dying" and "Real Good Man," among others. Though McGraw and Hill have performed together numerous times, including their top-grossing Soul2Soul and Soul2Soul II national tours, the Venetian Theater provides a special experience: The duo sits down during the show for some friendly banter with the crowd and to perform some acoustic cover songs. And of course, there’s a bevy of duets, such as the commanding “It’s Your Love” and the show’s personal, touching closer, “I Need You.” Ticket prices begin at $95.50, call 888-TAF-SOUL or visit ticketmaster.com or the Venetian-Palazzo box office to purchase.
