Drink Your Dessert at The Neapolitan

A look at the boozy selection of frozen treats at The Cosmopolitan’s new haunt.

August 02, 2012

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is keeping the summer fun rolling with the opening of The Neapolitan, a boozy refuge from the melting sun that promises frozen alcoholic treats created by hotel mixologist Mariana Mercer. The neon-colored indoor/outdoor lounge on the Boulevard Pool deck is open from 11 AM to 6 PM daily, with a mouthwatering menu of spiked beverages that includes ice cream sundaes, smoothies, floats, popsicles, blended drinks, push-pops, and sorbets.

Sink into one of the hot pink, chocolate brown, or vanilla colored-couches (hence the spot’s name) and peruse a list of creative coolers, most notably The Pink Lady, a liquid nitrogen-charged sorbet made with Belvedere Pink Grapefruit, house-made grenadine, and pink grapefruit juice—it's topped with cherry Pop Rocks. Less science-y and more decadent is the signature Spiked Milkshake, a trifle of strawberry and chocolate ice cream and biscotti liqueur-infused whipped cream. Don’t overlook the topping options, of which we recommend the salted caramel drizzle or maple bacon sprinkles.
